On May 1, we re-aired the McCuistion program, How Do We Regain Trust?, which featured Yoram Solomon, Ph.D., author of The Book of Trust, and Robert E. Hall, author of “This Land of Strangers.”
Lack of trust costs us and not just economically. It impacts employee engagement, it’s linked to competence and ethical behavior, and is the foundation of all relationships.
Former Secretary of State George Shultz said, “When trust was in the room, whatever room that was — the family room, the schoolroom, the locker room, the office room, the government room or the military room — good things happened,” Shultz wrote. “When trust was not in the room, good things did not happen. Everything else is details.” (Washington Post)
Unfortunately, our trust in institutions, politicians, government, scientists, medicine, and the media is steadily declining. So what can we do about this?
Join our hosts, Dennis McCuistion and Jim Falk and guests, on May 1, on KERA, Channel 13 in Dallas, for an insightful look at what trust is, and why it’s so important to conducting business and nurturing relationships.
We welcome your feedback.
