Over 59% of Americans still believe Lee Harvey Oswald did not act alone. They believe that the assassination of President John F. Kennedy fifty years ago was part of a conspiracy.
Joining host, Dennis McCuistion, are:
- Oliver “Buck” Revell: Former FBI Special Agent
- Dave Perry: Kennedy Assassination Historian and Researcher
- James Teague: Author: LBJ and the Kennedy Killing
- Tom E. Stone, PhD: Senior Lecturer – Department of English, Southern Methodist University.
The opinions of each of our panelists range widely.
Teague, who was an eyewitness, in fact was hit by a shard as a result of one of the bullets, believes the assassination was not so much a conspiracy, as a coup. There were many who wanted President Kennedy out of the way, he claims, so that they could instead be in power.
Tom Stone believes that there is no good evidence that anyone other than Oswald was the assassin. The question may be who if anyone put him up to it? There were many who wanted President Kennedy out of the way. We will never know for sure if any of those groups influenced Oswald to act. And as Oswald was never tried, it may be an answer we never determine.
“Buck” Revell says the evidence is clear and overwhelming that Oswald did in fact fire the shots that killed the President. Yet, there was evidence destroyed by the FBI and not turned in to the investigation, and evidence withheld by the CIA.
Dave Perry tells us that 68 people who were at Dealey Plaza that day claimed they, not Oswald, were the assassin.
In fact, we may never know the full story. Tune in for some eye opening comments from eyewitnesses and others who believe in and debunk the conspiracy theories.
