Today, it seems that there is news on domestic extremism incidences on almost a daily basis, from violent attacks against certain religious groups to racial incidents.

After 9/11 the Patriot Act was implemented to protect the homeland. Laws were changed and differences between how domestic and international terrorism are handled were implemented.
We also need to ask how can we prosecute terrorism and extremist violence without an infringement of political expression? And do we necessarily want even more government surveillance?Join us to learn more about the rising incidences of hate crimes and terrorism and what must happen to protect innocent lives.
