From Alexa to other voice-activated technology, AI is now part of our daily lives, in spite of the controversies around it.
A more recent addition to AI, ChatGPT, has taken over the tech conversation about AI. It’s being used to write, edit, research, inspire new ideas, the list goes on.
Within two months after its launch, ChatGPT had more than 100 million monthly active users – reaching that growth milestone much more quickly than TikTok and Instagram.
A December 2022 Harvard Business Review article termed it a “tipping point for AI,” calling it “genuinely useful for a wide range of tasks, from creating software to generating business ideas to writing a wedding toast.”
Defined as, “an artificial intelligence chatbot developed by Open AI and launched in November 2022, it is built on top of Open Ai’sGPT-3 family of large language models and has been fine-tuned using both supervised and reinforcement learning techniques.”
Should CHAT be writing for you? What are the classroom issues? Are there ethical and legal issues involved?
