A Great Leap Forward: Heterodox Economic Policy for the 21st Century and one of the originators of MMT.

Modern Monetary Theory is controversial and somewhat obtuse.

It is described as an: heterodox macroeconomic framework that says monetarily sovereign countries like the U.S., U.K., Japan, and Canada, which spend, tax, and borrow in a fiat currency that they fully control, are not operationally constrained by revenues when it comes to federal government spending.

It was developed over the past 25 years as a framework to analyze fiscal and monetary policy applicable to national governments with sovereign currencies.

However it has also brought up many political biases.

Tune in to learn more about how MMT impacts our economy.
