Dr. Friedman talks about the present American political and economic discord, predicting that the 2020s “will bring dramatic upheaval and reshaping of American government, foreign policy, economics, and culture.”
The unprecedented way in which America was created from a position of a weak colony subservient to a despot to its somewhat global power, in the last several years is a huge endeavor.
He describes two geo-political cycles; the institutional one which occurs every 80 years and the socio-economic cycle which occurs every 50 years and which led to the formation of various classes from the industrial age, the middle class, and now a technocrat class.
